A way to work with us on the fundamentals: the Italian crime novel, contemporary romance, writing as a duo. Lectures plus hands-on workshops on the participants' own manuscripts.
Our approach
Drawing on our professional experience as screenwriters, we have taught a series of creative-writing courses in Italy and abroad, starting from the premise that the basic “rules” of narrative construction are essentially the same, whether the story is written or visual. Among the various methods we favour the American one, which has the merit of having refined and made more accessible a subject whose foundations are already all present in a text no one working on narrative structure can do without: Aristotle's Poetics.
Anyone setting out to write, to tell a story, must know the “craft” and learn to master it in order to express their creativity to the fullest.

Method
How we work in the classroom
Each course alternates theory lessons (structure, characters, dialogue, pacing) with practical workshops: group reading and discussion of a participant's manuscript. For anyone working on a novel, the course offers a complete framework to take it all the way to an editor.
